From domain research to launch-ready SaaS in fourteen months.
Context
Whoever manages a small apartment building as a volunteer syndic does it alongside a job — between legal deadlines, general meetings, documents and settlements. Existing software is built for professional syndics with hundreds of buildings; for the volunteer with one building, it is the wrong tool.
Our client builds exactly for them: co-ownership management for smaller buildings. Koneva is the engineering partner — from the first market research to the launch-ready platform.
The difficulty
Co-ownership is a regulated domain: statutory deadlines, mandatory documents, formal decision-making. Software that gets this wrong creates legal problems for the very people who came to it for certainty. The bar was product-grade — not project-grade.
The approach
Research first: a competitor thesis, domain analysis and a product specification of 177 user stories across fifteen epics — before a single screen was built. The design system was constructed from written charters; every module received its own engineering specification.
The build ran in iterations, with a decision log documenting every choice — over four hundred numbered decisions.
The platform
Building management, general meetings, documents, calendar and onboarding — multi-tenant, with strict per-building data isolation.
Outcome
MVP feature-complete in May 2026 — 74 of 74 stories. Go-live: autumn 2026.
